Allison specialises in Scottish folktales, environmental stories for outdoor learning and world wisdom tales. She is co-author of Dancing With Trees: Eco-Tales from the British Isles (2017) which is an essential folktale collection for community gardens, woodlands, and story and nature lovers. Her second book, Lanarkshire Folk Tales (2021) is packed with history and stories from the area, including tales and folklore from Glasgow. Collecting oral history and stories from people and projects is the golden thread that runs throughout her work. Allison also has a professional background in theatre and dance.
