The Story of The New Moon Cairn
Mandy Haggith
Mandy Haggith imagines what the place of a newly-discovered cairn might have been within the ancient community that built it. This story is located at Cnoc Bad na Cleithe by Ledbeg in Sutherland, which is the remains of a chambered cairn dating to the Neolithic period. It is visible as a large stony mound measuring around 7m in diameter and standing up to about 1.5m in height.
