James Spence tells a traditional tale from the Scottish Borders in which two brothers go out to seek their fortune and are put to the test by a king and his daughter. The story takes place on the Yarrow Water which flows into St Mary’s Loch. The Yarrow valley has an unusually high number of ballads and stories associated with it.
