Joanne Dowd tells a local legend about a place called Tait’s Tomb on the road between Dollar and Tillicoultry. There are lots of tales of ghostly occurrences relating to this tomb, which likely stem from its location along a particularly dark stretch of road between the two villages. Jo’s version is a tale about a bus driver, which has much in common with another legend told by Kate Walker, The Story of the Lost Jacket.
